Card Services Phone Calls

Bad Rachel is named after the aggressive robo-dialers of the early 21st Century. These are not normal, legitimate telemarketing calls. They begin with “Rachel from Card Services” and/or “This is not a sales call!” They use fake phone numbers, call consecutive unqualified numbers, and ignore any legislation or consumer pleas to stop.

This project is designed to end these calls.

We collect money from donors, and use that money to pay informants for information leading to the identification, prosecution and elimination of the people who are running the call centers. Most of the informants are employees or former employees of the call centers.

If you get a call

If you get a robocall from Rachel or her friends, press “1” for the live operator, endure the tacky music, and when you connect, say the following:

“Visit badrachel.com to tell on your boss for cash.”

Then hang up (or mute and listen.) They are like leprechauns and will do anything to trick you into a conversation. They are not worth it.

And consider making a donation to increase our pool of resources.

If you make calls

You can make cash by telling us who your boss is and how to find them. Make sure that you’re anonymous, then use the contacts on the right to provide us with the information. You should not give your name, but make up a secret identity so we can track the information to the individual and pay out the right reward. Rewards currently start at $200.
